For longtime fans of the Metal Gear Series, Portable Ops will probably end up feeling like a slap to the face. It’s by no means a bad game, far from it; but for players that are well accustomed to the gameplay and grand story of the Metal Gear series, Portable Ops is a disappointment. For those new to the series, you’ll most likely get a ton of enjoyment out of the game due to not having any previous conceptions of the plot or familiarity with a superior control scheme. Either way, MPO is certainly a must have title for the PSP, as it offers one of the best gameplay experience to be found on the system.
